Lackner McLennan is pleased to announce that for the 2nd year in a row, we have been chosen as the Winner of the Insurance Brokers Challenge for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region Bowl For Kids Sake fundraiser. Kudos to all companies involved!

Lackner McLennan has provided 3 installments of $5,000 in 2005, 2006 and 2007, for a total donation of $15,000 towards the purchase of a world-class Meyer Sound Speaker System and Martin Moving Light System for Kitchener's Centre in the Square live performing arts venue.

This year, the Lackner McLennan team participated in a food drive competition with another insurance brokerage on behalf of the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. We raised $140.00 cash and collected 378 lbs. of food, beating our competitors and receiving a TOP 30 Certificate from the food bank recognizing our contribution of 30 lbs. per employee. (The losing brokerage also did a great job, and afterwards came to our office and cooked us a poor man's lunch of wieners and beans!).

$30,000 Donation to St. Mary's Foundation towards a new 100,000 Sq.Ft. addition

This year, our $2,500 donation contributed to the 96.7 CHYM FM Family & Children's Services of Waterloo Region Foundation. Lackner McLennan and our employees are proud to contribute to The Tree of Hope, which raised $250,000 this year to support summer camp experiences, recreational opportunities, emergency food vouchers, emergency transportation costs and many educational programs to help vulnerable children reach their full potential.

Once again the Lackner McLennan team worked together to support the annual United Way Campaign with 100% employee participation and an increase of 9% in our fundraising efforts. We would like to take this opportunity to recognize our outstanding team and thank them for their generosity and kind support of this annual community event. We look forward to another successful campaign next year!

Lackner McLennan and our staff are dedicated to helping as many community causes as we can. As a team, we cleaned up garbage from our local park and surrounding area on Earth Day and supported the Fairway and Friends Golf Tournament to benefit St. Mary's Counselling Service, a community program of St. Mary's General Hospital.
